FAQs

Planning your wedding stationery should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Below you'll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about ordering, customisation, proofs, production and delivery.

When should I order my wedding stationery?

We recommend ordering Save the Dates approximately 9-12 months before your wedding, or earlier for destination weddings or events where guests will need additional time to make travel arrangements.

Wedding invitations are generally best ordered 4-6 months before your wedding, allowing plenty of time for design approval, production, delivery and posting to your guests.

For on-the-day stationery, such as menus, place cards and table numbers, we recommend ordering approximately 6-8 weeks before your wedding where possible.

How long will my order take?

Our standard production time is approximately 11-15 business days.

Production time begins after your final design proof has been approved and does not include shipping time.

During particularly busy periods, lead times may vary. Our current turnaround times can always be found on our Ordering & Current Lead Times page.

When will I receive my design proof?

You will receive your first digital design proof within 48 hours of placing your order, during our business days.

Our studio operates Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm AWST. Orders, proofs and messages received outside these hours will be attended to on the next business day.

Can I make changes to my proof?

Absolutely. Your order includes two rounds of revisions so you can make adjustments before approving your stationery.

Additional revisions beyond the two included rounds are charged at $20 per revision round, payable before the additional changes are made.

What should I check on my proof?

Please carefully check all wording, spelling, names, dates, times, addresses, punctuation and event details before approving your proof.

Your approval confirms that you are happy for your stationery to proceed to production.

We strongly recommend having another person check your proof too — a fresh set of eyes can be incredibly helpful!

What happens after I approve my proof?

Once your proof has been approved, your order moves into our production process and your standard production timeframe begins.

Your approval is considered final, so changes cannot generally be made after this point.

If you contact us immediately, we may occasionally be able to accommodate a change before materials have been ordered or production has begun. Additional costs may apply.

What happens if I find a mistake after approving my proof?

Customers are responsible for checking and approving all information contained within their design proof.

If stationery is printed exactly as shown on an approved proof, Miara Paper Co cannot cover the cost of reprinting due to customer-approved spelling, date, time, address or other content errors.

If the mistake was made by us during printing or production, we'll arrange a replacement at our cost.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.

After this period, orders cannot generally be cancelled or refunded as we may have already begun preparing your order or purchasing materials specifically for it.

Can I return or exchange personalised stationery?

As our stationery is created specifically for you, personalised and customised products cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.

If we've made an error or your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can help resolve the issue.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your parcel and include clear photographs of the damaged stationery and packaging.

We'll assess the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.

How many invitations should I order?

We recommend ordering approximately 10% more invitations than you currently expect to need.

This gives you extras for last-minute additions, invitations lost in the post, keepsakes and any unexpected changes to your guest list.

Remember that invitations are generally ordered per household or couple rather than per individual guest.

Can I order extra invitations later?

We recommend including extras in your original order wherever possible.

Small reprint quantities may cost considerably more per invitation because printing, setup and material costs still apply. We also cannot guarantee that cardstock from a later production batch will be an exact match to your original order.

What Size Envelope Does My Invitation Require?

A 120 x 180mm size invitation will require a 130 x 190mm envelope.

A 120 x 70mm or 135x80mm size invitation will require our petite 11B 90 x 145mm envelope.

A A5 (148 x 210mm) size invitation will require a C5 envelope.
